Message from the Chief:
Medford Lakes 9/11 Memorial
Please join us. Be a part of history one brick at a time.
The Medford Lakes Fire Company has been presented with an opportunity to receive a piece of Steel from the World Trade Center. We have formed a committee which includes the Medford Lakes Fire Company, Medford Lakes Police Department, Medford Lakes EMS, and several Borough residents. The Committee is working together to design, develop, and construct a Memorial to all of the people who were affected by the events of September 11th, 2001, including citizens of our Borough.
We found Memorial Circle to be the best place to display this remembrance. Memorial Circle is located at the intersections of Stokes Road, Mohawk Trail and Minnetonka Trail. A complete renovation of Memorial Circle is planned to remember our fallen. Our goal is to dedicate the completed Memorial on September 11th, 2011.
You, along with your family and friends, can become a part of history. Your purchase of a brick, etched with your family name or special message, will become a permanent part of this important Memorial.
We are offering a 4" x 8" brick with a donation of $100.00 and a 12" x 12" brick with a donation of $250.00. We will gratefully accept any size donation you wish to make and your support is greatly appreciated.
